December 31, 2006 - Chandra Wins Sprint Bronze

National Ski Team and Canmore Nordic Ski Club Member Chandra Crawford won a bronze medal in the sprint race of the FIS Tour de Ski in Munich, Germany on December 30. Full Story on CCC website / CBC / FIS Results.

November 30, 2006 - Ski Nationals 2006 Video

It took a while but last years nationals video is availiable on our website. It was produced by Lucas and Tristan after returning from Thunder Bay last ski season. Weird music (lyrics do not apply but we liked the beat) and complicated transition effects make it a sure winner. Sit back, relax, grab a bowl of popcorn and enjoy! November 12, 2006 - Castle Mountain Ski Camp #2

The annual Early Snow Lake Louise Camp took place at the Castle Mountain Hostel this year. It included early morning running, a huge amount of skiing and plenty of other activities. There was plenty of snow on both the Moraine Lake Road and 1A for some awsome skiing.

October 28, 2006 - Canmore Nordic Ski Swap

The Canmore Nordic Ski Swap was sucessfully completed with many pairs of skis, poles, boots, binding and other ski gear being sold. People were lining up down the stairs and out the door of the Canmore Recreation Centre to get first picks over the multitude of equipment being sold. Registration for the JackRabbit and Adult Recreational programs also occured. If you would still like to register, please visit our program registration page. Did you miss out on selling equipment? October 16, 2006 - Castle Mountain Camp

On October 14 and 15 the Yeti and Ultimate groups held their annual camp at the Castle Mountain Youth Hostel. They were well occupied with plenty of rollerskiing on Saturday morning followed by ski walking up to Rockbound Lake in the afternoon. Sunday included more rollerskiing and a run between Healy Creek (Sunshine Turnoff) and the Cave and Basin (Banff). Evening activities included goal setting sessions and a fashion (?) show.

October 4, 2006 - Canmore Nordic Ski Club Annual General Meeting

September 25, 2006 - Yeti / Ultimate Kananaskis Camp

The Yeti and Ultimate groups were out in Kananaskis last weekend. The weather turned out to be good for camping. They enjoyed roller skiing, mountain biking, running and a soccer tournament.
