Hello Club Members and Athletes,

We need your support for the upcoming IBU Biathlon World Cup Races, Feb 7 – 10, 2019 in Canmore at the Nordic Centre.

1: Fundraiser:

Sign-up to watch the races in the CNSC bleachers. We need 200-300 spectators in the bleachers to show the world (over 15 million people watch these races on TV / online in Europe) that we are passionate about Biathlon!
Especially on Thursday, Feb 7, for the Women Individual Race, starting at 2:10pm, and the Relay Races on Friday, Feb 8, starting at 12:30pm and 2:45pm.

To reserve your spot in the Bleacher Party, please sign up on the doodle below for each person attending and which day you are attending. Wristbands will only be given to the first 200 who register or show up on the day.

Wristbands for the Bleacher Party will be available upon arrival in the Day Lodge beside the ticketing booth. Look for the Canmore Nordic banner or Bleacher Party representative. 

2. Volunteer for our Bleacher Party:

We are looking for 2-3 volunteers per day at the World Cup to help with the bleacher party. The roles are not difficult and do qualify to go toward your volunteer bond.  Athletes 13+ can also help in these roles, if they would like to do this with a buddy, just put 2 names down. The priority of filling the roles is the same order they are listed in. 
Thursday, Feb 7th    11:00am to 3:00pm
Saturday, Feb 9th    10:00am to 4:00pm

CHANGES DUE TO COLD WEATHER:
Friday, Feb 8th is now a race day: Relay Men, starting at 12:30pm and the Women start at 2:45pm
Sunday, Feb 10th is now a backup day, no racing if all goes well during the days before.

Role #1 Wristbands
Hand out wristbands in the day lodge for access to the Bleacher Party. 
Role #2 Bleacher Director
Stand at entrance to Bleacher to ensure people are directed into the correct area. 
Role #3 Bleacher Filler – Only needed if bleacher numbers are limited.
Meet the buses at the entrance to encourage people to come get a bleacher wristband if they do not yet have a ticket. Once this role is complete, we may need you in the bleacher area as well.
