Junior Racing Team – Cross Country
Focus: Training and racing
A complete training and racing program for youth aged 12 to 18 who have completed the Radical Skiers program or reached a comparable level of skiing and training. The program provides skiers the opportunity to develop their skiing skills with physical conditioning and proper skiing techniques. The Junior Racing program follows Cross Country Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model. The program also promotes goal setting that may eventually lead skiers to be selected to the Alberta Ski Team. The Junior Racing Team will travel and compete at the Nationals, Alberta Winter Games, Western Canadian Championships, Alberta Cup Series, and the Bow Corridor Regional Race Series. Special events and camps offered throughout the year for an additional fee.
OPTION 1 – Train to Train 1 (TT1): 3 sessions per week for athletes aged 12-14
OPTION 2 – Train to Train 2 (TT2): 4 sessions per week for athletes aged 14-16
OPTION 3 – Train to Compete (TC): 4 sessions per week for athletes aged 16-20
