The days are getting shorter and cooler, and change is in the air. Winter is coming and you will soon see your ski buddies that you may have been missing all summer. With those thoughts in mind, it is time to get ready for winter. This year, our strength and wellness guru Megan Imrie is not available, but Nicky Pacas and I will try to fill her strong shoes (if not literally “big”).
A five-week program – once a week – to ease into the skiing season with a bit of dryland training to say hello to your hamstrings and dust off your biceps just in time for winter. As in past years, the emphasis on these workouts will focus on outdoor strength movements, focusing on good form and good fun, not heavy weights. Participants should be comfortable with an easy jog for at least 10 minutes, a variety of basic strength movements, and be willing to discuss politics and religion while under intense physical stress. Workouts will happen in all weather, because Nicky is tough as nails (and so will you be at the end!).
NOTE: Participants should be comfortable with an easy jog and a variety of basic strength movements. Workouts will happen in all weather.
