To keep things simple… and because the weather is above zero…. we will skate ski at both Mon / Thurs practices this week.

Thurs practice is optional: Rob, Logan, and Morgan will be available for those that are in town and planning to attend practice in Canmore.
For those 26 currently registered athletes for Kimberley – you are welcome to attend thursday in Canmore if you wish, and Friday in Kimberley 4:30 (if you are arriving on time) – but you are also welcome to choose one or the other.
I will not be at thursday’s Canmore practice – as I am heading to Kimberley early.

Glide wax your skate and classic skis midweek (I only have PS6/blue – so that’s what I am using. Forecast is for around zero though)
Bring your classic skis with kick zone cleaned, sanded, taped, and labeled! We will (need help) grip wax them during training at 4:30 on friday at race site – if appropriate and in attendance – or saturday morning (need help) if required.

Race plan: (subject to change)
Sat: Classic Sprint – King’s Court – No qualifier for U8/u10/u12. 3 heats each. U8 – 9:30am, U10 – 10am, U12 – 10:30am
Warm up 1 hour before race. Arrive > 75 min prior to race. Arrive earlier if skis still need grip wax. Tent / tables will be set up around 8am.
Sun: Skate – Mass Start – U8 200m – 9:20, U10 2km 9:40, U12 2km 10/10:05
Warm up 1 hour prior to race time.
