    Hello TTs,

Welcome back after hopefully a wonderful holiday break full of family, food, and some exciting time gliding on skis! The conditions are fantastic right now on the natural snow trails, so get ready to ski something different. REMEMBER YOUR HEADLAMP as the natural snow trials are not lit.

As noted in the email sent last week, team training will now be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday(Biathlon), and Saturday.

We are still operating under enhanced measures, so still no groups larger than 10, and we must maintain our 2M distancing. Hopefully we will be able to return to 2 pods soon, but only time will tell. Keep up the good work, wear your masks when close, and stay healthy.

Wonderful parents- We need your help to manage all 4 of the pods on the Saturday sessions. Please sign up on the “TT Tailgunner Sign Up” We will ski in the same direction and can give out radios to stay in touch, but need to maintain space between pods. Many of you have been a superb help, thank you for all the great work so far and signing up so much. We can have up to 2 parents with a pod if that will help to get a few more parents out.

    Training this week:
    Monday(4) Skate @ CNC
POD 6: 5:00-6:15 Start beside the teamroom
POD 7: 5:00-6:15 Start in front of the teamroom
POD 8: 6:15-7:30 Start beside the teamroom
POD 9: 6:15-7:30 Start in front of the teamroom
Lots of work on technique tonight. Get ready to climb some hills working that offset and ride that ski in 1 skate.

    Tuesday(5) Classic @ CNC
POD 8: 5:00-6:15 Start beside the teamroom
POD 9: 5:00-6:15 Start in front of the teamroom
POD 6: 6:15-7:30 Start beside the teamroom
POD 7: 6:15-7:30 Start in front of the teamroom
Get ready to move those limbs quickly tonight, we will sprint it up with lots of short fast sprints in all our classic techniques.

Wax Recommendation: Rode Viola Extra– It is a warm one out there, but not quite klister as the snow has not transformed. You need the sticky wax to get some kick, Swix VR 60 will work as well.

    Thursday(7) Biathlon @ CNC
    POD Biathlon: 4:45-6:15

    Saturday(9) Skate @ CNC
    POD 6 9:00-11:00 Meet @ USA Flag
POD 7 9:00-11:00 Meet @ New Zealand Flag
    POD 8 9:00-11:00 Meet @ Jamaica Flag
    POD 9 9:00-11:00 Meet @ German Flag
Distance ski around the Nordic Centre. We will plan for a LONG loop around the outer trails. Bring a bar in your drink belt to eat half way through the session. You will probably ski close to 20 KM today!

“A man should have wings to carry him where his dreams go, but sometimes a pair of skis makes a good substitute” – Hans Gmoser, 1961.
