    Hello,

June is in full swing and before you know it, school will be done. Keep your focus as you have nearly completed the year. A great way to refocus on your studies is to get out for training, even a 20 min jog can do wonders!

Club registration is open, and T2/LC/LC+ (year round programs) all need to register and pay 30% of your fees by June 30 to avoid the $100 fee. This is also required to be covered by insurance at training sessions and camps. Register here: https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=21131

The Canada Day Run registration is open. Early bird deadline ends June 20th. https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=21147
We are still looking for volunteers: https://volunteersignup.org/QBYMQ

Lots of great training coming at you this week with a bonus Saturday session:

Tuesday (18): Strength in the gym. Two separate sessions because of limited space.
4:45-6:00 LC/LC+ athletes born ’02 ’03 ’04. Inside the whole time. Meet at the BWTC.
5:45-7:00 LC/LC+ athletes born ’05. Inside the whole time. Meet at the BWTC. After strength we can have a short Q&A about training peaks.

    Wednesday(19): 4:45-6:15 TT/LC/LC+ Threshold Test
Meet at LGMS track for the threshold test (running). This is an important test that we use to calculate your training zones. It is required for LC/LC+ to have a heart rate monitor for this session. If you have not purchased one yet, find one to borrow for the day. T2s will have a shorter challenge for the day and do not need a heart rate monitor.

Saturday(22): 8:30-12:00 LC/LC+ Adventure Run from Banff to Canmore
Today we will run the riverside trail from Banff back home to Canmore along the riverside trail. Everyone can ride the Roam Bus that picks up in Canmore between 8:20-8:30 and will drop us off at the Banff High School at 8:52. Fair is $6 for adults and $3 for 6-18 w/ student ID. You should arrive at your stop 5 minutes before the bus to be sure and not miss it. Link to the route/times/fairs here: https://roamtransit.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/2017-Fall-Route-3-Regional-brochure-8×9.pdf

The run should take about 3 hours and we will separate into groups of similar running speed. Athletes can call for a ride when we get to the end of the nordic centre (about 30 min to the day lodge). Or you can catch the free bus home from the nordic centre.

Everyone must have: water/sport drink, 2 bars, rain jacket.
