Matt DeCarufelKeymasterHello Team,
Great to be having so many individual meetings with you all over these few weeks. Lots of great discussion, keep it coming! With the primary focus of the meetings being the race calendar, here is the link to our Race Sign Up (it will continue to be updated with info throughout the season as bookings are made):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13gJNoy-rxbbBXhBZX27keMcTWGjOt1-qOwMvZ-Ca3G0Frozen Thunder has arrived! We will be making the most of this amazing opportunity to be on snow 1-2 months before the rest of the country, but still keeping that balance of appropriate specific training so you are not sick of skiing by February. The full Frozen Thunder explanation can be found HERE In a nutshell until Nov 15:
You need a bib and a pass to ski on it from 9:00-12:00
You need a pass to ski from 12:00-5:00
Free after 5:00
This is an amazing opportunity for our club, so I do encourage us to financially support the project through purchasing bibs and passes. That said, it does add up. So the options are to get the full bib, or just purchase a bib for the 3 days we have Saturday AM training planned. Our Saturday training days on Frozen thunder will be Oct 18, 25, Nov 1. With the school strike, it is a great chance to do some extra skiing in the morning (which would require a bib). Skiing in the AM is typically easier. We will also have the option to partake in the Frozen Thunder time trials Nov 13 and 14.
Purchase your Pass HERE
Purchase your Bib HEREFlex testing– If you have grown 5kg or more, or have new skis, want to test them. Drop skis off in the teamroom starting on Tuesday. They must be clean (scraped, brushed, free of grip wax), also labeled with name and weight in KG with full ski kit (boots/race suit…)

Meet at the teamroom with your bib and boots on.“Many of the moments when you think, ‘I wish I had handled that better,’ or ‘I should have seen that more clearly,’ aren’t really about poor judgment. Often, the root cause is either rushing through the task or skipping basic self-care.
Get an extra hour of sleep. Stop trying to do so many things at once. Go for a walk or get a little exercise. Take a breath and actually think for a minute.
You can do a few things well. You can’t do everything well. If you keep scattering your attention across seven different priorities, you’ll keep making mistakes that your rested and thoughtful mind would never make.” –James Clear (author of Atomic Habits)
