Ava was recognized by her teammates for her commitment to her sport and improving her skiing, and having a great attitude towards workouts. She “Is super kind to everyone, and loves to laugh with everyone. Great at supporting her teammates during a race, good at cheering!”
- How old were you when you starting skiing?
When I was around 2 or 3, pretty much as soon as I could walk.
- Where is your favorite place to skiing?
My favorite place to ski is in Lake Louise or Pocaterra. My other favorite place to ski is somewhere new!
- Fondest ski memory?
My fondest ski memory is skiing in the Birkebeiner when I was little. My grandfather has always encouraged me to ski.
- What do you love about xc skiing?
My favorite part of skiing is being able to fly on the snow and to be in nature.
- What do you love about being part of Canmore Nordic SC?
I love being a part of Canmore Nordic because of the people! It’s always fun to go to practice no matter how cold it is or whatnot because my teammates will be there to talk to and ski with. It’s also awesome to be part of a community at races and events knowing you have everyone’s support.
