    Bow Corridor Regional Race # 4 – COP

    ***ATTENTION ALL PARENTS- There is a need for some volunteers for this race. We need 2 people at the finish and one timing, as well as some course controllers. Please contact/e-mail Greg Thompson if you can help out (strata@telusplanet.net).

    Weather Forecast:
    High/Low 8/-1 Mix of sun and cloud (Environment Canada)

    Wax Recommendation (prioritized);
     Swix HF 8 or Solda F31 Yellow
     Swix LF 8 or Solda F15 Yellow
     Swix CH 8

    Race Details:
    The relay teams will consist of 3 per team in which one member will be of the opposite gender. Where there is an uneven number attending, one member may have to go twice.
    The teams will be released at the TA/T1 practices this afternoon. Please accept that all of the coaches have a put a lot of thought into making these teams; competitive, even, and fun! No one wants to be feeling left out. This is a team event, designed to encourage fun, excitement, and team participation. Treat your team members and competition with respect. If you are not at practice you may view them on THIS post later this evening.

    Late Registration – until 9:30am only (late registration fees apply) **If you do this and need a team you must tell us prior to 10am in order for your team to be submitted**

    Trail Fees COP or day pass required for all skiers. It is up to the skier to purchase this
    • day pass available at registration desk

    ALL Athletes should find us at the multi purpose room at the COP day-lodge at 9:45. I will look after picking up the bibs (Scott). Come find me and we can sort out the bibs inside.

    Post-Race Activities
    1. Drinks and snacks available at Refreshment Tent
    2. Windup Events (12:00 noon to 1:00m in MPR Room)
    • Challenge awards and series ribbons for youth
    • Right-To-Play presentation with Arne Dankers (2006 Olympic speed skater and Silver Medallist)
    • please bring along a lunch and join group for celebration of another great year of racing
    • there will have soup and drinks for all racers and volunteers.
    ** to reduce waste, bring own mugs and bowls
    3. Nordic Activities (afternoon)• sign up at race office on Sat. AM
    • “bumps and jumps” w/ nordic combined coaches
    • details to be posted early next week
