Hello Team, hopefully you are well recovered and ready for some fast skiing tomorrow. It should be a great day.

A reminder that if haven’t picked up your goodie bag yet, you should do it tomorrow. Same thing for your banquet ticket.

I don’t think that everyone’s race skis made it at the team room today. If yours are not there; please glide wax them at home with a low fluoro wax for around -5 unless you have made some arrangements with the waxing crew already. The skis were due for 2:30pm today. The waxers will not glide wax your skis tomorrow as we are now in the top coat stage of waxing.

    Weather:
-4 tonight and maybe some snow tomorrow and a high of +4. Bring all your other possible race skis with you (soft, medium, hairies…). More weather details here: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/ab-3_metric_e.html

    Stadium:
As this is the first sprint race in the biathlon stadium, it will be set up differently tomorrow. Please pay attention to it when you are out warming up. We will review this information with you on Thursday. Take the underground tunnel to access the start.

    Courses:
Same 800 meter sprint course that we have done in training a few weeks ago (this time with tracks!).

    Qualification times:
    9:30 girls
    10:15 boys

    Heats:
    1:00pm Juv/jr girls
    2:10pm juv/jr boys

    Awards at 3pm at CNC.

See the course/stadium maps on our website if you are not sure.

    Warm up area:
We will advise you on a good spot to test your skis when you check in the morning.

    Plan for Thursday:
Arrive the team room 1.50hrs before your start. Check in with a coach and grab your bib and transponders. We will ask you to hang out in the daylodge or BWTC.

    Start list here: http://zone4.ca/results.asp?ID=3847&cat=all&pt=1

    OTHER:
Check your Training Peaks for details about Thursday. You will find various recommendations such as warm up, race strategy and what to do after the race.

Again, we recommend you do a cool down on a stationary bike for 15min or running at the CNC.

Make sure you bring recovery drink for after the race. A good recovery drink is also chocolate milk. Bring some other food also and some dry clothes to change into.

Don’t forget the team dinner at Crazyweed at 7pm.

    FOR FRIDAY:
Please arrive the Team Room at 10:30am for a short team training session in skating. We will need your Saturday race skis by noon on Friday.

    See ya later 😆 😆 😆 😆
