Ski with Annika Too

The Ski With Annika Too (SWAT) program is designed for intermediate and advanced skiers who want to improve their fitness and ski technique in both classic and skating styles in a group atmosphere. Training with like minded skiers, focused on improving their skiing will help create fun, motivating and encouraging training sessions. The program will provide participants with personalized coaching through a focus on technique within a small group supported by some video feedback. Details for ‘on your own’ training to complement the program will also be available for those interested.

Some of the sessions will include a variety of fun race formats for the group to work on race preparation and improving performance.

Annika Hicks is the lead coach for this program. She is a former high performance cross country skier, having represented Canada on the World stage at the World Junior/U23 World Championships and in World Cups. While not quite a Master skier, Annika does know a fair bit about skiing. No longer a racer, she still enjoys getting after it on the race course… and really enjoys, in most cases, beating Alaric to the finish line!!!

If the weather is frighteningly cold (-15 and windy), sessions will be cancelled. A good quality headlamp is strongly recommended as the group will occasionally venture off the night loop.
