Hello U14s,
The first AB Cup race has arrived!
The weather is looking great for a day of racing. Low of -10, but likely -4 at your race time. Chance of snow, so if you have some glasses it is good to wear them.
Good work out today inspecting our course, asking questions, and getting prepared for your race tomorrow.
Mass start classic race, 1 lap around the 2.5km loop. It will go fast, so try to start fast(but controlled like Stu said), and finish even faster!
We will have wax room #18 for you to put your bags in/hang out in.
Everyone arrive at the teamroom 1 hour and 15 minutes before your start to collect your bib, then you can head down to your hang out zone. We will give you the meeting time for our warm up then. The wax team will work hard to get everyone’s race skis kick waxed for the warm up. We will have a little extra time for wax touch ups if needed.
All race skis need to be delivered to the teamroom by 1:15pm at the latest for waxing. They can be dropped off earlier.
Access the start from the Banff Trail (as we did today). On your way to the start, you will need to pick up your chip. Each athlete will get 2 chips.
Awards will be the top 3 Year of Birth for the U14/U12 categories. The award presentation will be at 4PM at the East end of the stadium.
Start times:
U14 Boys- 3:05PM
U14 Girls- 3:15PM
It is a great course for you all. Get on out, race hard, and have fun skiing fast!
