    Hello Team,

Quite the chilly weekend. Hopefully you all stayed warm and were able to get in some quality indoor training.

Coming at you this week: Alberta Cup 1&2 take two! Check on the Canmore Nordic home page for more details.

If your race skis are scratched, turn white after only a few kilometers, bases are burnt, or are generally slow, you should have them stone ground. We will collect skis on Tuesday after training. Tape them together.

Tuesday (2): 4:30-6:30 Classic intensity and strength.

Wednesday (3): 4:30-6:15 Classic with speed work.

Thursday (4): 4:30-6:30 Skating with agility and downhill practice.

Friday (5): 4:30-5:30 Skating, Race preparation. If you have multiple race skis, this is the day to test them. Bring your skate race skis to the team room by 8pm tonight. This will let us start making any necessary adjustments early the next morning.
LC2’s: Please check the proposed recovery plan for the weekend on TP.

Saturday (6): AB Cup 1 Skating Mass Start

Sunday (7): AB Cup 2 Classic Interval Start

We always have to be ready to adapt to changes. Especially in an outdoor sport like cross country skiing/ Biathlon where there are so many variables. Remember the message from Becky Scott and Rhonda DeLong. It is up to you to adapt to the change, focus on what you can control, and make it positive.
