The exchange is wrapping up this week with lots of great activities covered. Thank you parents for your contributions planning days, and especially Evelyne for countless hours planning the event! Athletes, you will be tired, but with a few good nights of sleep you will feel good again, just in time for the AB Cup!
Details for the race weekend (arrival time, updates from the coach meeting, etc) will be posted on the forum the night before each race at about 7pm. Race start lists will be posted on Zone4.ca at about 4pm the day before the race. I will email a wax recommendation on Thursday using the most accurate weather forecast for the weekend. It will follow the club waxing guide and instruction for when to drop off classic skis (glide waxed by you, but clean kick zones) to the teamroom for grip waxing by our wax team.
Lake Louise to Banff Loppet and Relay:
The team will be in Edmonton January 20-23 for the AB Cup, but if you are not attending that race, the Loppet and Relay can be a very fun activity. Details here: https://zone4.ca/register/y60jkl/
Training this week (as noted on last weeks post):
Monday(5) No team training
Tuesday(6) No team training
Thursday(8) Biathlon @ CNC
4:45-6:15 Biathlon training
Friday(9) AB Cup Official Training @ CNC
3:30-4:30 Skate skiing. Today is a half day for the CRPS school which aligns with the official training time for the AB Cup course inspection. This is just like we would do for an out of town AB Cup race when you would skip school on Friday. We will ski our race courses in the light of the day, work on tactics, and get dialed in on your race plan. Meet at the end of the flags (US Flag end).
Saturday(10) & Sunday(11) AB Cup Races
Monday(12) No team training- Rest up!
