    Hi Team

Good job with summer training, through the sessions and camps I witnessed a lot of improvements in fitness and shooting ability! It’s coming along nicely… and now it’s the fall so lets step it up another level of committment yet!

I am very excited to get going with training!! We can make a lot of progress on fitness, ski technique and shooting!! 😀 😀 … and have some good fun while we do it 😀

Here is the practice sessions for the next 2 weeks:

    week #1:

Tuesday (7): 4:30-6:30pm. Z1 run combo and strength in gym. Please put a pair of indoor shoes in the team room so you always have clean footwear for the gym.. it tends to get dirty and muddy in the fall! It’s also important that everyone is early for practice and is efficient during transitions (to gym and back to range), that way we can accomplish what we would like.
    also:
It is critical that you bring your filled in fall calendar today (lots of details on it please). I need it to make your training program.

Wednesday (8): Team room, 4:30-6:30pm. Z1 & 3 running and ski striding (bring proper length poles, not too short, your classic rski poles work).

Thursday (9): Please bring Rski SK gear and classic poles, we will do Z1-2 combo and the DP test.

Friday (10): On your own today. Go in the gym with a friend (and an adult) and do the same strength routine as Tuesday. Do a 20min run first, and a 15min cool down after. Today is the last day to sign up for the Bragg Creek camp (everyone that needs a bed; athletes, parents and coaches).

Saturday (11): Harvey Heights parking lot, 9:00-11:00am. RS-CL with some speed work. Make sure you bring your safety vest today. Please bring your ilog up to date today….

    Week #2:

Tuesday (14): Z1 run combo and strength in gym

Wednesday (15): Z1-4 Rski SK combo. We will do a progressive intensity test with shooting, good fun 😀

Thursday (16): No session due to camp on weekend

Friday (afternoon)-Sunday: Bragg Creek Camp, more details to come! It’ll be a great camp and excellent training! Don’t miss out 8)

Note: Mark your calendars for Oct 16th- all day biathlon competition day (morning race, afternoon shooting competitions) hosted by CNSC.
