Hello CNSC club members. Frozen Thunder is opening for skiing on Saturday, October 19th. They are are estimating a 2km loop. Here’s how FT works:

National, provincial and training centres have priority on the snow each morning during the week. FT is open to everyone after that time. FT is available to anyone on weekends (all day). Everyone using FT must pass a special FT pass or get a day pass. There is no fee to ski on FT after 5pm.

Club coaches will not check for passes for our athletes but we advise them to pay to use FT. This is a privilege to ski on snow at this time of year. It is your responsibility to make sure you are legit for skiing on FT. Conservation officer might stop you and give a ticket ($175 I think). Here is the FT pass fee:

Special, early season FT pass, Oct 19-Nov 15:
    Adults – $75
    Senior – $62.50
    Junior – $62.50
    Child – $50

Regular day pass, good for Frozen Thunder:
    Adult (18 and over) – $10.00
    Senior (55 and over) – $7.50
    Junior (12-17 years) – $7.50
    Child (6-11 years) – $6.00
Child (Under 6 years) – Free

Also, please note that season’s passes are currently on sale until November 1st. You get a 10% discount if you purchase it before that date. Season’s passes are valid Nov 15 and after.
