Hello Team, a shorter post today as you are getting used to the routine.

    First:
Have you seen the aggregate standings? Canmore Nordic is in SECOND PLACE of 55 clubs. Congratulations to everyone for contributing points to the Team. Great racing everyone….. Check the standings here: http://www.cccski.com/dbfiles/2285.pdf%5B/b%5D

Also, please pick up your athlete package (goodie bag!) if you haven’t done so already. Stop by the race office at the daylodge.

Course will close at 8:45am, but will reopen from 1:15-1:30pm.

    Weather:
-1 tonight with sunny and +8 tomorrow. Bring sunscreen! More details here: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/ab-3_metric_e.html

    Stadium:
The stadium will be set up exactly as today. Take the underground tunnel to access the start.

    Courses:
There are two courses for tomorrow: 3.75km and 5.0km. Green signs.
    Category marking:
    Open Men A
    Open Women B
    Junior Male C
    Junior Female D
    Junior Boy E
    Junior Girl F
    Juvenile Boy G
    Juvenile Girl H

Remember that there is a difference between the 3.75km and 5.0km course at the agility park (3.75km turns left).

See the course and stadium maps on our website if you are not sure.

    Warm up area:
Probably the best place to test your kick wax for the sunny hills will be on the Banff trail. We will advise you on a good spot to test your skis on a shady hill for those doing the 5km course. More details when you check in the team room in the morning. Check your Training Peaks for a recommendation for a warm up.

    Schedule for Tuesday:
Arrive the team room 1.50hrs before your start. Check in with a coach and grab your bib and transponders. We will ask you to hang out in the daylodge or BWTC.

    Open men 9:30am (30 sec starts): 15km (3 X 5km)
    Open women 11:00am (30 sec starts): 10km (2 X 5km)
    Junior girls 12:04pm (15 sec starts): 10km (2 X 5km)
    Juvenile girls 12:36pm (15 sec starts) 5km (1 X 5km)
    Junior boys 1:34pm (15 sec starts): 7.5km (2 X 3.75km)
    Juvenile boys 2:23pm (15 sec starts): 7.5km (2 X 3.75km)

    Start list here: http://zone4.ca/results.asp?ID=3833&cat=all&pt=1

    OTHER:
Transponders need to be worn again. There is a right and left unit and the number must face outside your ankle.

Before you leave the site to go back home: Open men and women need to leave some race skis for the skate sprints on Wednesday
4:15pm: Awards (or immediately following the completion of the last race) at CNC

Check your Training Peaks for details about each workout. You will find various recommendations such as warm up and what to do after the race.

We recommend you do a cool down on a stationary bike for 15min or running at the CNC. Bring the appropriate gear with you.

Make sure you bring recovery drink for after the race. A good recovery drink is also chocolate milk. Bring some other food also and some dry clothes to change into.

    See ya Tuesday!! 😆 😆 😆 😆
