    Hello TTs,

Exciting News- Some racing is being rescheduled for the year!!! Of course everything is subject to change, but there may be up to 5 XC Race Weekends and 2 Biathlon Race Weekends. See the tentative plan below:

Great work last week in some solid sessions. Striding technique is really improving and one ripper of a Time Trial. It was so fun, we should do it again, hopefully on Saturday weather permitting of course!

Remember your mask for the start of each session while we introduce the workout. While it is possible to maintain our 2M distancing, we are standing in a group, so it is good to have that mask on.

    Training this week:

    Monday(18) Skate @ CNC
POD 6: 5:00-6:15 Meet Evan at the fire hydrant
POD 7: 5:00-6:15 Meet Matt at the teamroom
POD 8: 6:15-7:30 Meet Evan at the fire hydrant
POD 9: 6:15-7:30 Meet Matt at the teamroom
Tonight will be agility and downhills. Get ready to send it!

    Tuesday(19) Classic @ CNC
POD 8: 5:00-6:15 Meet Evan at the fire hydrant
POD 9: 5:00-6:15 Meet Matt at the teamroom
POD 6: 6:15-7:30 Meet Matt at the fire hydrant
POD 7: 6:15-7:30 Meet Evan at the teamroom
Tonight we will be working on our tactical skills (track changes, technique changes, timing, etc).
Wax Recommendation- Rode Violet. We will stick to the man-made snow trails tonight, so straight Violet will provide good kick without having to use a klister base.

    Thursday(21) Biathlon @ CNC
    POD Biathlon: 4:45-6:15

Saturday(23) Classic Time Trial @ CNC
POD 8: 12:30-1:45 Meet Matt at the fire hydrant
POD 9: 12:30-1:45 Meet Evan at the teamroom
POD 6: 1:45-3:00 Meet Evan at the fire hydrant
POD 7: 1:45-3:00 Meet Matt at the fire hydrant
4km time trial on some great striding hills. We will Time Trial from The Tear Drop, out Bow Trail to Wooded Bliss, then back the same way for a total course of 4km. It is forecasted to be cold over night, but most likely a pleasant -10 come training time.

I recommend waxing your skis with Swix CH4, or LF4 if you are trying to get rid of it, or any other green wax (the snow will be cold). Kick wax with a base binder Swix VG35 1 layer Rode multigrade violet, then Swix Blue Extra (just like the waxing guide).

Thank you to Evelyne and Andreas for taking on the timing once again! There is only 1 junction on this trail, so should be simple navigating, but always great to have more parents out cheering on the athletes while they practice going fast.

We can not improve skills without training them. Time Trials are great opportunities to improve our racing- both physical and mental. Come on out and give it your best!
