    Welcome to LC1 week! While the LC2s are baking in Kaslo in the 38C heat, we will be enjoying the fresh mountain air here at home. There are 3 great training sessions coming at you this week, and individual meetings.     Monday (14): 9:00-10:00 Beep Test. Meet at the team room. This is an important max heart rate test and a key tool we coaches use to create your training zones. Bring your heart rate monitor. If you don’t have a HRM, try to barrow one for this session. It is nearly impossible to accurately manually take your heart rate when it is 200+

    Tuesday (15): 9:00-1:00 Hike E.E.O.R. Meet at the Goat Creek parking lot. Pack a light lunch, bars, lots of water, and a rain jacket. Parents welcome to join for the hike. Nothing beats 850M of climbing to get those legs in shape.

    Thursday (17): 9:30-11:30 Classic Roller Ski and Strength. Meet at the team room.

    Remember, XC skiing is quite simple: if you train, you will improve. Team training sessions are one of the best ways to become more fit and have some fun with your teammates while doing it.
