Hello Team – great job at the Nationals. I am very proud of you for your efforts and successes. You rose to the occasion!

The racing season is now officially over – that was a fast one. We will have our final group session this Thursday (24), 4:45-6:30pm, with a skate ski, a chat, pizza…… Please bring $2 for the pizza. THEME IS VINTAGE SKI CLOTHING

Although the racing season is over, there is still some really good snow left for skiing. I recommend the following “loose training” for the next few weeks:

    1) Go skiing a few times a week. You will continue to solidify your technique and specific endurance for the next season. This is best way to continue making improvement in your training/racing for next year.
    2) Keep active, do some physical activity 6 days a week. Nothing hard, just Z1 activities with friends and family.
    3) Try to go running a few times a week. No need to go for a long time; 30-45min is fine for now, just get out and get your running legs back.

    Spring:
If you are keen on playing soccer or RMCC mt-biking, go ahead and register. It’s great cross training for xc skiing.

Our Silver Star early snow camp is most likely going to be May 11th or 12th to 15th – not confirmed yet.

The garbage pick-up fundraiser is scheduled for May 7th. Last year, the club was able to use this money to reduce your expenses at the Silver Star camp.

Look for a parent/athlete meeting to talk about spring and summer training/activities sometime in mid to late April.
