    Hello biathletes,

This will be our last bigger week of training before we dive into the race season proper.

Please indicate what races you will attend on the club race signup document here. This is also where you can find links to race invitations and trip documents. Note the sign up deadlines!

There have been some rule changes to biathlon racing in Canada and Alberta. You can find those in detail in the Biathlon Alberta Hosting Policy update here. See a summary of need-to-know changes for athletes here.

Well done on reaching and surpassing the team dryfire minutes goal for October! In four weeks you dryfired 989 minutes as a group. If you count every single day in the month I’m sure you passed 1,000. A celebratory pizza party will be at training on Wednesday 15th–all U16/18 biathletes are welcome. If you fell a bit short of the 160min individual goal…don’t worry, there will be food for you too.

Headlamps are now madatory at evening training sessions

Bring plenty of food, drink, and layers of clothes
Wax recommendation: one layer of base binder (such as Swix VG35) ironed into the base, four layers of Rode Violet on top. Bring a warmer wax (such as Viola Extra) in your waterbelt just in case, and it never hurts to bring colder wax (such as Violet Multigrade) along in the car in case the forecast is off.
