    Hey Team,

    Great work to those out in Kimberley at our fall training camp.  This week we focus on recovery to make the most of all that solid training.

    We will start booking our fall coach-athlete meetings to review your summer goals, look ahead to winter goals, and firm up which races you plan on attending. Put your name down in a slot on the coach-athlete meeting signup here. View the biathlon race path document here (second tab on the bottom) if you haven’t already used it for planning–we recommend that U16/18 athletes aim for 15-18 race days in a season.

    Surprise–our annual dryfire challenge starts today! Hopefully this provides some extra motivation to build good consistent dryfiring habits. For those of you who store your rifle at home, your task is to dryfire an average of 40 minutes per week for the month of October–that makes 1280 minutes for the entire team. Check the goal and at the end of each week, input your minutes here. If you reach the goal as a team, Stu will buy everyone pizza. If you didn’t meet your individual goal of 160 minutes for the month, you can still take part in the party…but you might have something less appetizing than pizza on the menu!

    The XC race license information was sent out via email last week. Check in with Matt if you didn’t receive it.

    Frozen Thunder is scheduled to open October 20.  The morning track access has not been communicated to local clubs yet, but Matt will follow up with an email and instructions when more is known. The range will be closed on October 18 and 19 for FT rollout.

    Also shared last week by email, please plan to attend your sessions for stress management. If the planned time for your age group doesn’t work, you can jump on with another one.
    Wednesday, October 4 -> 4:45-5:45 U16 Biathlon
    Wednesday, October 4 -> 5:45-6:45 U16 XC

    Lastly, upcoming training reminders:
