    Race Details

    The Rocky Mountain Ski Challenge is our club event and being held Saturday March 7th! It emphasizes participation, personal challenge, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and fun.

    Weather Forecast:
    Friday-(Partly Cloudy) High -3/Low -23
    Saturday-(Snow) High -1/Low -13

    Wax Recommendation (Prioritized)- All waxing will be done by each individual athlete/parent; come to the race ready to ski. There will be not organized pre-waxing on Friday.

    ** This is a skate race**

    Distance for each category and start times:
    12:30pm 6 years and under < 1 km
    12:40pm 7-8 year olds 1.5 km
    12:45pm 9-10 year olds 1.5 km
    12:55pm 11-12 year olds 2.5 km
    1:00pm 13-15 year olds 5.0 km

    Come 1hour before your start time. We will meet in the Canmore Nordic Team room. Warm-ups will start approx. 20-30 mins before the race.

    Kids 6 and under also do a fun obstacle course at 1:30pm. 7 and 8 year olds are welcome to do the obstacle course if they do not want to participate in the downhill.

    Kids aged 7 – 15 years do a downhill race at 2:00pm. Meet in the stadium outside the Day Lodge at 1:30 to ski as a group up to the start

    Registration: The preferred method to register is online at http://www.zone4.ca/onlinereg.asp?id=2244. Late registration are also possible, space permitting, on Friday, March 6th, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00am to 9:00am at the Race Office, Canmore Nordic Centre.

    Bib pick up: Monika will pick-up all bibs for all kids up and including the T1’s. They will be available in the team room. Please make sure you pick-up the right one.
