*Optional flex testing and wax pocket marking of classic skis*
Thank you to Canmore Nordic volunteer, Shane Munro. Flex testing is an optional process to determine the ideal weight of the skier for each classic ski. At the same time, the wax pocket will be determined. The wax pocket is the zone where you will apply the “sticky wax” to classic skis. If you wish to have your child’s classic skis flex tested, skis need to be dropped off Monday, October 25th before practice or after practice. Classic skis being dropped off for testing must be:

-labeled with a piece of tape on the tip of the ski with the child name, weight in KG and “TA”
-brushed and all kick wax has been removed so it is a smooth non sticky surface.
-placed skis in the rack outside the front door of the team room.

Skis can then be picked up Thursday October 28th before practice.

Alternatively, feel free to do the paper test at home and mark your own wax pocket with a Sharpe. This is important as you will need to know where to apply the kick wax on classic skis. YouTube demo: click here
